A book of abstracted nature studies; paintings and drawings onto timber veneer. I buy the timber as a box of off cuts, so a variety of timbers arrives, each with its own response to paint and ink.

I collect interesting bits and pieces of nature to draw, sometimes in my home and garden or on my walks … a leaf with a strange fluffy growth, an avocado pip after it has been in the compost for months, a tangle of seaweed, pods, flowers. All are lovely to explore through drawing and assembling into a book.
