If you take a walk along the bike path in the City of Bayside (Melbourne), you will see the hand-made tiles and signage I was commissioned to create in 1999. They are still going strong!
They were intended to direct walkers and cyclists to the newly installed art-trail and to the art of the Heidelberg School of Painters who painted the wonderful beach and cliffs. The tiles also included pointers to the ancient fossils to be found around Ricketts Point, the Cafe and some of the beach activities – old and new.
The walk along the beach and cliff tops is terrific, and there are lots of places for a picnic with a great view. We are often down there enjoying a meal with one of the best views in Melbourne.
