Information:

You will be welcomed into an enjoyable and safe space to learn and create your artwork. You don’t need any previous experience to attend. We begin with simple projects so you can learn techniques, step-by-step. The group is run by Anne Riggs, artist and supported by a SECASA counsellor.

Feelings of grief and loss are part of the experience of abuse, but unlike with other losses, there are few public places for survivors to share and express these feelings. We will be making artworks to add to the Mourning Wall that was created last year; a space where survivors express and mourn their losses. The Mourning Wall is in garden the Monash Medical Centre, Moorabbin.

Participants meet with Anne beforehand to discuss the program and your needs. We ask participants to commit to the whole course with a $50 deposit refundable at the end when you attend at least eight sessions. If this may cause you hardship, please let us know.
